Spring
Rising temperatures and insect hatches bring active feeding. Stocked waters are often topped up.
Summer
Fish early and late; trout seek cooler, oxygenated water — deeper in lakes, riffles in rivers.
Autumn
Cooling water brings renewed activity through the day.
Winter
Slower but catchable, especially on stillwaters. Many rivers have closed seasons — check local rules.
